I can relate to your feelings about other people in your classes not reading the books. It infuriates me when people do not do their assigned reading. Like you, I was raised to love books and come to them when I need them. So, I feel your pain! You explained your point of view very clearly, and I loved your examples of fairy tales and such, because I used to love those too. This sounds like it is a part of a great paper!
