Tracy, I can relate a lot to the feelings you express in this excerpt. I also used to feel frustrated with people who would never read the assigned books or would come running to me to ask: "what happened." I think it is interesting that you recognize the "romatic" part of you and search that out in the literature you choose. I think that more children would have been lucky to have parents that put such a strong emphasis on reading and appreciating books. I think that is important to begin the trend of teaching kids to be life long readers and learners. Good Job.
