I personally get wrapped up in the action of a novel but if I'm reading about a place that I've never been and know nothing about I can't help but find it interesting learning about a part of the world that is new to me. That also goes for experiences written about in novel. If the book is well written I will be totally wrapped up in the characters experiences if I've never done it, because I like to imagine what it would be like. Like flying, I've never flown. Or sperlunking, I've never sperlunked. No responses
