Nice writing Liz. I can't identify with being Female or Baptist, yet I think know a bit about what you're describing. Literature about the struggles with differences in our society -- sex, race, creed, etc. -- show me that justice isn't as balanced and right as I had grown up thinking it was. We all have a lot we can learn from each other and learning about another person's struggles give us the opportunity to analysis the matter and the root of the matter, giving us the ability to learn from mistakes and never let them happen again. I know it isn't all this simple but it can be. If we keep writing and reading who knows where it will take us.
