The bottom dropped out a lot as soon as I thought things were finally stable and going well. I think these experiences have made me a pessimistic person. This part of me surfaces in my daily life; I always prepare myself for the worst in life so that I do not get my hopes up about something. I do this when I read as well. With a book, I always expect the saddest ending in case there isn't a happy ending because of my Pessimistic lens.
